Embark on an exhilarating adventure with Off Root’s Trans-Slovenia Tour, an unforgettable journey through the diverse landscapes and cultural treasures of Slovenia, diverse trails, ride through 3 countries in one week, stunning panoramic views, optional two hour downhill descent from Mt Matajur and finish the tour with a refreshing dip in the Adriatic Sea

Here’s a closer look at each day of this epic tour:

Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana

– Arrive in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s vibrant capital city, and meet your guide and fellow travellers.

– Enjoy a welcome dinner and get acquainted with the group before the adventure begins.

Day 2: Ljubljana to Kranjska Gora

– Depart from Ljubljana and travel to Kranjska Gora, a charming Alpine town nestled in the Julian Alps.

– Explore the picturesque surroundings and settle into your accommodation for the night.

Day 3: Kranjska Gora to Lake Bled

– Cycle through scenic mountain landscapes as you make your way to Lake Bled, one of Slovenia’s most iconic destinations.

– Visit Bled Castle, perched high above the lake, and enjoy stunning panoramic views.

Day 4: Lake Bled to Lake Bohinj

– Continue your journey to Lake Bohinj, a tranquil Alpine lake surrounded by majestic peaks.

– Take a leisurely bike ride around the lake or explore the nearby Triglav National Park.

Day 5: Lake Bohinj to Bovec

– Traverse the breathtaking Vrsic Pass, enjoying spectacular views of the Julian Alps.

– Arrive in Bovec, known for its outdoor adventures, and take part in activities such as whitewater rafting on the Soca River.

Day 6: Bovec to Kobarid

– Explore the historic town of Kobarid and learn about its rich heritage, including its role in World War I.

– Visit the Kobarid Museum and stroll through the charming streets lined with traditional houses.

Day 7: Kobarid to Piran

– Travel to the coastal town of Piran, located on the Adriatic Sea.

– Explore Piran’s narrow streets, medieval architecture, and bustling harbor.

– Relax on the beach or savor fresh seafood at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Departure from Piran

– Say goodbye to Slovenia as you transfer to the airport for your return journey or continue your travels in Europe.

GETTING THERE

Three international airports are within a 1-2 hour drive from Čavle: Zagreb (Croatia), Trieste (Italy), and Ljubljana (Slovenia).

ACCOMMODATION

Our tours primarily pass through small towns and villages. We strive to select the most authentic and visitor-friendly accommodations and dining options, ensuring tour groups enjoy local hospitality and great food throughout the route.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

– Each guided group can include up to 8 people.
– Evening briefing sessions are organized on guided tours, where guides provide details about the next day’s cycling stage, including altitude, length, and difficulty.
– Alternative trail variations can be chosen based on the group’s specific requirements for most cycling stages.
– Meeting instructions and final trip arrangements are sent to participants two weeks before the tour start date.

The price* for a guided SLOVENIA ALPS TO ADRIATIC MTB TOUR includes:

  • 7-night accommodation in 3 or 4-star hotels/guesthouses.
  • 7 breakfasts and 7 dinners; Meals include typical local food.
  • Fully qualified and experienced MTB guide for the entire trip.
  • Baggage transfer between tour stages.
  • Extensive Tour Booklet.
  • Transfer from the route ending point to the route starting point.

Rates are valid per person, based on double occupancy.
