This is a great way to ensure that you get out and ride at least once a week (or more if you’d like to join more than one session). It helps to keep you motivated to ride as every group has a fun, welcoming and no pressure to perform atmosphere – a great way to keep fit and see the local countryside. Coaching is also given so I can see and help you progress every week. The sessions run all year round so you get to see the seasons change and learn how to adapt your biking techniques as well as feel your fitness levels and MTB skills improve.
If a beginner, then please do get in touch to talk through any questions that you may have. You will be very welcome to join and I can even run beginner weekly sessions.
Techniques and skills coaching that will be covered over the rides are:

- Pre-ride checks
- Choosing the right tyre pressures
- Setting your saddle height for off-road riding
- Handlebar controls setup
- Setting up your forks and shock
- Dropper posts usage and set-up
- Gear Selection
- Braking
- Body Position & Movement
- The Ready Position
- Moving around the bike
- Weight Shifting
- Speed Control
- Cornering
- Mastering climbing and descents
- Trail Flow – reading the trail
- Mind Skills
- Relaxing on the bike and staying loose
- Riding within yourself to stay in control
- Positive thinking and visualisation
- Looking
- Dismissing distractions to maintain concentration and commitment
- Developing confidence through fundamentals instead of luck
Sessions run for about 1 to 1¼ hrs and are on the following days:
- Monday 9.30am & 11am
- Tuesday Evening 7pm (flexible)
- Wednesday evening – (summer only) group skills coaching
- Friday morning 9.30am & 11am
- Saturday mornings 8.30am
- Double workout Saturday Sessions 8-10am.
£10 a session when booking whole term in advance. £15 drop in
